2nd Annual Barnacle and Brew Fest!
The Kiwanis Club of Poquoson received its charter at a banquet held at the Hampton Holiday Inn on October 26, 1974. This occasion marked the culmination of the efforts of many people to form a Kiwanis club in Poquoson. The Club was sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Hampton and the Kiwanis Club of York County.

Kiwanis international is organized into districts, which are in turn divided into divisions. The Kiwanis Club of Poquoson is one of nine clubs in the Division 23 of the Capital District. The Capital District covers Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
